One Lord, One Faith, One People

An Intergenerational Family of Faith Rooted in the Reformed Tradition

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church

Welcome to the First Presbyterian Church of Durant, Oklahoma! Whether you’re new to the area, searching for a church home, or just exploring faith, we’re delighted you’ve chosen to visit us. Please take a moment to look around our website, and let us know if you have any questions.

For more than a century, FPC Durant, and the people who have called it home, have sought to glorify God through worship, work, and witness in service to Christ and the Durant community.  By God's grace, we strive to carry on that faithful legacy, and we would be honored to have you join us!

Whoever you are, God welcomes you here, and so do we!

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to know Christ and to make Him known, and to love one another and all those we meet as He first loved us!

What We Value

Worshiping God Together: Worship is at the center of our lives as God's people. In worship, God gathers us to lift our voices with all of heaven and earth in singing His praises (Isaiah 44:23).

Maturing in Faith: the Christian journey is a lifelong process of learning and growing at the feet of our Master, Jesus Christ. We study the Scriptures in order to know the One they are about (John 5:39).

Unity in Fellowship: As the Body of Christ, we are many parts, men and women, young and old, but together we are one people united by our common faith and shared love (Romans 12:3-8).

Sharing the Good News: In the lives we live beyond our walls, we live to make Christ known and to share the love He first gave us (1 John 4:19).

Join Us for Worship

We gather for worship every Sunday at 11 am. Our services follow a traditional Reformed order of worship, with prayers, hymns, Scripture, and sermon. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. Please come as you are!

Connect With Us

We offer a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to grow in the faith through worship, study, fellowship, and service. Whether you have been a longtime believer or aren't yet sure what you believe, we invite you to share the journey with us!

Worship Online

While worship is a communal activity best carried out within the gathered body of believers, we know the Holy Spirit binds us together as one even when we must be physically distant. We also know that for some it can be intimidating to walk into a church building for the first time. Whoever you are, we invite and encourage you to use our online platform to join us in worship when you are not able to be physically present.

Every Sunday at 11 am, we stream our worship services live on Facebook. Join our online community to worship, pray, and grow in faith together.

Missed a service? No problem! You can watch past sermons and services on our Facebook page. Click here to browse the archive.

Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.
